After the nomination comes the victory. This year, it is Duka that gets the German Brand Award 2017 assigned by the German Design Institute for the management of successful brands in the German territory.
In particular, the Italian company was awarded for the ‘Industry Excellence’ category with regard to the ‘Heating and Bathrooms’ department. What convinced the jury was the recent evolution of Duka in terms of production and innovation. This is due, among other things, to the construction of the new headquarters, which will combine human labour with automated production and the use of electronic systems more and more, in line with the philosophy of Industry 4.0.
Today about 50% of the Duka turnover derives from export, mainly to Italy's neighbours, including Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In Germany, hydro-thermo-sanitary material wholesalers are particularly involved, sharing with Duka a 20-year-old strategy based on product quality as well as high-performing pre- and post-sale support. Now the German market is the first foreign market for the company since the brand and its products can boast a capillary presence in this market.
“We are well-developed in our traditional markets” Luis Rabensteiner, President and CEO of Duka, declared, “However, we are still to discover many markets, so a lot of work and new challenges are waiting for us. We focus on preserving our capillary and punctual approach in all markets, intending to create real partnerships to share our activities, developments and marketing events. We are quite satisfied with our work and with the results we have obtained.”
