Wellbeing in ceramics: Alberto Apostoli unveils Nyra for Atlas Concorde

-

The ceramic design landscape welcomes an ambitious and coordinated project: the Nyra collection, born from the collaboration between architect Alberto Apostoli and Atlas Concorde, one of the world’s leading ceramic producers. Debuted at Cersaie 2025, the stone-effect ceramic family introduces a new design philosophy centred on wellbeing.

Nyra translates inspiration from nature, classical culture, and wellness-focused architecture into a versatile range of stone-effect surfaces. The collection is designed for use in hospitality, contract, and residential projects, aiming to redefine the authenticity and comfort of every environment.

The collection showcases the material’s decorative potential through a rich variety of varied tones, finishes, and textures. Surfaces with strong aesthetic appeal evoke ancient craftsmanship. This is achieved through vibrant colour variations, polychrome inclusions, subtle opacity shifts, and chiaroscuro effects, which create a lively, immersive material that transforms spaces into welcoming environments.

As Alberto Apostoli explains, “Nyra is a vision where material, colour, and texture work in harmony to create new spatial scenographies”. The realistic surfaces, rich colours, and tactile effects evoke welcoming spaces while giving designers creative freedom.

Extremely versatile, Nyra is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications—including walls, floors, furniture, worktops, 3D structures, mosaics, and bespoke décor. This broad applicability blurs the line between interior and exterior, delivering a seamless aesthetic.

Furthermore, Nyra holds a crucial role for the future of Atlas Concorde: it is the cornerstone of Nyra World, a programme that will guide Atlas Concorde’s future stone-effect innovations.
