Lineadacqua, a patented project by Giorgio Rava for antoniolupi, transcends conventional furnishing logic to mark a profound return to the primordial force of nature. The goal is to redefine the washbasin area, transforming it into a pure sensory experience.
The system is based on a clean cut in the wall, an architectural mark that conceals the faucet spout within, making the tap invisible. The wall surface itself thus becomes a true water source, from which the water flows out with strength and purity. This powerful and regenerating jet breaks the static nature of traditional compositions, becoming the focal point of the space.
The project represents a fundamental step in antoniolupi’s research on the centrality of water and the essence of design: man can control its flow, but only by eliminating excess can its true power be fully expressed. In Lineadacqua, technology becomes invisible to enhance the authenticity of matter and make way for a pure sensory experience. Water becomes the absolute protagonist.
Sculptural details reinforce the connection to the origin: a sculptural element emerges from the basin — a marble stone that acts as a progressive knob for water regulation. This detail blends aesthetics and functionality, recalling the primordial connection between man and nature.
Light also plays a key role, always present in the upper part of the sink, defining the contours and contributing to the creation of a unique atmosphere. If the sink is without a cabinet, it is also possible to integrate light beneath the sink, further enhancing the design.
Available in multiple configurations, Lineadacqua adapts to different living contexts: as a standalone sink, with a suspended drawer unit, or with a freestanding cabinet, offering versatile solutions for any design need. The cabinet doors are characterized by a new pleating, not marked by regular grooves, but by irregular ones, creating a visually striking effect.
With Lineadacqua, antoniolupi and Giorgio Rava continue to explore new frontiers of design, transforming the bathroom into a unique, essential, and timeless experience. The jet of water disrupts conventional schemes, capturing attention and redefining spatial hierarchy.
