Chiara Caberlon restyles the VOI Tanka Village in Sardinia

-

In Villasimius (Sardinia) the VOI Tanka Village, a 4-star resort from the Alpitour group VOI hotels, is being renewed and expanding its offerings with the VOI Tanka Selected, a project by the Chiara Caberlon studio, carried out by Concreta, an interior contractor specializing in the design and realization of interiors for hospitality spaces.

VOI Tanka Selected is a luxurious area located within the VOI Tanka Village Resort, just a short distance from the beach, approximately 200-300 meters.

Concreta has launched an ambitious renovation project designed by architect Chiara Caberlon in collaboration with VOI Tanka Village, structured in various phases.

The first phase, in 2023, saw the complete renovation of some common areas. Among these, the entrance hall and the Oasis and Mirto restaurants, transformed to offer guests an even more welcoming and refined experience.

In 2024, the second phase took place, with Concreta involved in the restyling of two of the three buildings, called Dimora, that make up the VOI Tanka Selected, which offers its guests an exclusive experience, including a private outdoor pool, a dedicated breakfast room, and a private reception, ensuring a luxurious and comfortable stay.

The colors and Sardinian motifs are incorporated into the decorative patterns of the fabrics, reinterpreted with a contemporary approach. The estimated project completion is scheduled for 2027. Given that it is a project that will evolve over time, it was clear from the outset that the renovation should ensure continuity and not be overly tied or influenced by fleeting trends, but rather guarantee a recognizable and timeless style.

Common areas

The entrance hall has been completely renovated, transforming it into a welcoming and functional space. The reception and check-in area is now stylistically divided into two distinct parts, offering a harmonious and modern design. The new counters feature front ceramic cladding, giving them an elegant and contemporary look.

Concreta also oversaw the supply of all the furniture elements present in the hall, both custom-made and ready-made. This renovation included not only the reception area but also the back-office spaces, ensuring stylistic consistency and functionality in every detail. A touch of class was added with the new curtains, including refined wooden blinds.

The first phase of the work also involved the renovation of the Mirto Restaurant and the Oasis Restaurant. The Mirto Restaurant is located in a relaxing and secluded setting, positioned in a privileged location with large panoramic terraces that offer breathtaking views and are caressed by the sea breeze. This restaurant underwent a complete renovation that included both the roof and the furnishing elements, transforming it into an even more welcoming and elegant space. The main Oasys restaurant, on the ground floor, near the beach, has an indoor dining area and an outdoor area surrounded by the lush greenery of the garden, allowing a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors.

Concreta took care of the supply and installation of the equipment for both the dining rooms and the kitchen, which is centralized and equipped with large buffet furniture with refrigerated tops made of Dekton or HPL. These pieces of furniture, mounted on iron trestles, are on wheels, making them extremely modular and manageable, easily adaptable based on the number of guests present in the room. Thanks to these features, space management is flexible and dynamic, always ensuring optimal service.

VOI Tanka Selected rooms

In the buildings of the VOI Tanka Selected, Concreta oversaw the construction of 115 rooms, divided into 44 standard rooms and 71 double rooms. The latter offer the advantage of having two bathrooms and two external terraces. The layout of the spaces varies from room to room with a non-standardized arrangement. Concreta furnished all the rooms with custom-made furniture. Each room is equipped with bespoke wardrobes, bed headboards, and desks, as well as selected and integrated furniture elements, such as tables, seating, and upholstered armchairs, which were made in Thailand and later certified in Italy, thus ensuring high quality and compliance.

From an aesthetic and chromatic point of view, the rooms are divided into two main types. While maintaining the same stylistic essence, some rooms are characterized by a coral red headboard that perfectly matches the wallpaper, creating a warm and lively environment, with a unique atmosphere that is both elegant and refined. Other rooms, on the other hand, feature a gray color scheme, more sober and linear, giving the spaces a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere. This chromatic approach allows guests to choose between two different aesthetic experiences, both meticulously designed to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay.

In conclusion, this restyling effort was able to create spaces that meet the highest quality standards while enhancing the unique identity and needs of prestigious tourist facilities.
