The new Sassetti Tower in Milan is designed by L22

Milan, Italy’s new driving force, hosts the newly constructed Fintech District, an urban area aimed at developing innovative, technological finance. Here, not far from Palazzo Lombardia, the Studio L22 Urban & Building has designed the new Sassetti Tower, located in the Porta Nuova district.

L22’s goal for this project – as for every project assigned to its team - is maximising the efficiency and flexibility of the work environment and office space without sacrificing innovation, starting from the design of the façade, which needed to smoothly combine internal and external elements.

The building, the result of a project designed by the Studio Associato Ingegneria Morini Progetti, dates back to the 1990-1992 period: L22 completely renewed it, by adding an uninterrupted glass façade, composed of a structural grid of horizontal and vertical elements that emphasise the rhythm of the floors and the façade grid.

The building can be accessed from the square just in front of it. Special attention has been paid to the sense of verticality, enhanced by means of an all-glass double-height entrance.

Another change in the skyline in the name of modernity for this area of Milan, characterised by a high rate of innovation.
