Time to register to the 13th edition of the Dedalo Minosse International Prize

-

The Dedalo Minosse International Prize for commissioning a building stands out in the landscape of the prizes dedicated to architecture by virtue of its uniqueness: it rewards not only planning excellence, but also the role of clients in building valuable work.

In fact, the Dedalo Minosse prize puts the client – i.e. the company, body or institution – at the centre of the attention, highlighting the importance of the interaction between the subject who finances a piece of work and the subject who designs it in the creation of innovative and quality structures. Organised by ALA – Assoarchitetti in collaboration with Regione Veneto and the Municipality of Vicenza, the award celebrates its thirteenth edition, proving itself as one of the most prestigious competitions of the sector.

Public and private clients, both Italian and foreign, may participate in the Dedalo Minosse prize. There is no limit on the size or type of work submitted, as long as it has been completed within the last five years. A special section of the award is dedicated to the clients who have invested in young designers under 40 and in Italian professionals, offering them an opportunity for international comparison.

Any private or public client – both Italian and foreign – as well as its designers, building firms, suppliers of work and/or products, or anyone else involved in the building process is entitled to enter the competition. Registrations can be submitted until 21st May 2025.

After this date, the international jury will consider the different proposals and choose the winners, focusing on the following topics:

  • social, economic and environmental sustainability of the work;
  • innovative use of technologies, systems and materials;
  • work inspired by Design for All;
  • enhancement and conservation of the landscape and architectural heritage;
  • valorisation of local traditions and languages;
  • multidisciplinary approach;
  • integration between art and architecture;
  • interior architecture, new ways of living.
