Previewed at the Milan Design Week 2025, Cocktail Cabinet is the drinks cabinet created by Pierattelli Architetture in partnership with Officine Gullo to redefine the concept of hospitality, combining aesthetics and functional traits for a user-friendly experience.
The outcome of thorough research into materials and their interaction with space, it combines the warm grain of Canaletto walnut with the sophistication of Carrara marble, while the scratched nickel finish adds a touch of contrast.
The design includes a highly functional internal structure conceived to ensure a user-friendly experience. The central body is neatly organised, including a pull-out shelf lined with faux leather for storing glasses, and two upper drawers, precisely one for cocktail-making utensils, and the other concealing a pull-out ice basin made entirely of steel. A detail that reflects the studio’s focus on the perfect balance of aesthetics and practical features.
“Our vision for Cocktail Cabinet was to move beyond the traditional concept of a drinks cabinet, transforming it into an object capable of standing out as the protagonist among other furnishings. It is designed to tell a story of balanced luxury and attention to detail” explains architect Claudio Pierattelli. “We wanted every element to speak the same language of elegance and precision”.
The backlit mirror placed on the back panel conveys depth and brightness, enhancing the bottles on display and creating an intimate atmosphere. Even the lid of the ice compartment, made of marble and fitted with a nickel knob, reflects the attention to detail. Its underside is lined in faux leather to protect the surface from scratches during use. Typical Officine Gullo elements, the brand’s coat of arms and the hopscotch, have been added to the drinks cabinet to recall the brand’s most famous kitchens.
With Cocktail Cabinet, Pierattelli Architetture and Officine Gullo interpret the art of hospitality through design, fine materials and innovative solutions, redefining the experience of conviviality.
