Colour, three-dimensionality and light: these three elements capture the essence of Tribute100, the new collection presented by Fiandre to pay homage to the Serie 100, a cult launched in 2010 and obtained with a high percentage of recycled material.
Tribute100 recovers the sinuous movement and changing three-dimensionality of the Serie 100, re-read in a contemporary key to bring life to a high-design product in which the interaction between the surface and the light becomes a distinctive feature.
The collection comes in four colours – Shark, Mink, Pearl, Titanium – each in three different designs – Net, Fold and Paint – which give the compositions different characters.
The added value lies in the fact that Tribute100 offers a number of solutions: the range of versatile formats, 120×60, 60×60, 60×30 cm, along with different colour-design combinations, to create a complete and interchangeable system used to obtain multiple decorative effects, mixing and matching different formats, colours and designs.
Tribute100 is crossed by 3D filigree patterns just waiting to meet the light to add a unique changeability to the ceramic surface: three textures play on the surfaces with thicknesses, incisions and reflected light.
The movements of Paint reproduce fresh, industrial brush strokes; the irregular outlines of Fold are reminiscent of delicately crumpled paper; the mesh pattern of Net mimes a weave of metallic wires and silky threads. The unique light and shine of these surfaces comes from the use of metallic glazes, an unprecedented innovation that adds a shiny yet restrained and sophisticated effect across the whole surface. This effect, combined with a lightly 3D surface, gives the ceramic a living, changing appearance, especially in contact with natural and artificial light which, depending on the angle and brightness, showcases all the wealth of textures in Tribute100.
The collection’s colour palette includes Pearl, a pure and iridescent colour that fills the room with a radiant glow while the three designs in the collection let flashes of pure white come to the surface; Shark is a deep, dark grey that changes shine and consistency in the laminated textures, creating subtle shadows that expand and extend, shading into light spots that fill the space with rhythm and boldness; Mink is a smooth, earthy and noble colour and the three variants, with three different patterns, highlight the luminous patina, making way for areas of denser or rarefied pigment, touching the many hues of brown; finally, Titanium is a neutral shade perfectly balanced between hot and cold, where the solid and iridescent shapes of the patterns spread a pale and delicately variegated gold across the surface that follows the textured incisions, waves and criss-cross finishes.
