Leaf Time, the leaf’s time in a rug

-

The weave of the rug becomes the custodian of the leaf’s time and illustrates its structural complexity: this is Leaf Time, the new rug designed by Emanuele Missaglia for Carpet Edition.

In this rug the realistic reproduction of the leaf’s anatomy, expertly crafted using various pile heights, give depth to the surface of the rug.

Leaf Gold

The leaf blade, midrib and veins rise in a sharper relief, following the delicate branchlike network which gives structure and definition to the design. In contrast, the irregular carvings and jagged shapes, which evoke the image of slow decomposition which evidence the change of seasons, are distinguished by a lower pile height, creating interplay between full and empty spaces.

Leaf Blue

Crafted using a rich combination of Viscose and Bamboo, Leaf Time is offered in two sizes (250×300 cm – 300×400 cm) and various colour versions. Leaf Time in Blue is distinguished by cool tones in shades of blue and grey, while Leaf Time in Mart explores a warmer colour palette, featuring elegant shades of gold and beige.
