MOTUS / MYTHOS, myth meets design in the new Bosa ceramics project

-

Myth meets design through the innovative ceramics project MOTUS / MYTHOS born from the collaboration of Bosa with the designers Alessandro Corina and Paolo Stella: a journey through matter and shape presented on the occasion of Milan Design Week 2025.

MOTUS / MYTHOS Dornettes are decorative wall tiles that remind of the three textures of Sire, Mino and Ippo vases transformed in 11×11 cm format. They evoke fantasy scenarios in which texture becomes a natural landscape through their vibrant and sculpted surfaces, giving form to a tangible and enchanted universe.

MOTUS / MYTHOS is also composed of three differently-shaped vases characterized by deep engravings that dig the surface and allow the placement of flowers on the inside to create unexpected arrangements. Sire, Mino and Ippo‘s designs mark the textural surfaces of the vases and play with light and tactile perception.

Sire, Mino and Ippo textures are inspired by mythological creatures: bewitching mermaids that swim in the water and trace sinuous movements, legendary hippogriffes that dominate the air slicing through the wind, mighty minotaurs that populate the depths of the Earth inside the ripples generated by primordial matter.

Francesca Bosa explains:

The Sire, Mino, and Ippo textures are inspired by water, earth, and the air that fuels fire. These elements also embody the essence of ceramics, the chosen material of our entire production, encapsulating the fundamental principles of nature. As an integral part of the MOTUS / MYTHOS collection, they bring a fragment of nature into spaces, conveying its spirit.
