Design, technology, versatility and sustainability: these principles are the basis for the collections signed by EMU, a brand which has always stood out for the high quality and strong identity of its products, confirmed on the occasion of Salone del Mobile 2019, where the company presented its new outdoor collections created by combined company expertise and the creative flair of some of the most prestigious names in international design.

For example, the collaboration with Sebastian Herkner, one of the most interesting under-40s on the global scene: he has designed Carousel, an extremely original design of furniture which represents his second collection for EMU.

Carousel’s distinctive design features an aluminium structure which can be combined with a seat and back frame made of three different materials.

The first is an innovative, multi-layer plastic fabric which has undergone a special process to press and bend it into ergonomic shapes, yet at the same time maintaining a soft surface, an interesting balance of elements which creates seats with alternating rigid and soft parts.

The other two upholsteries used for the seat and back are braided materials, giving the furniture a refined, yet natural look.

In conclusion, thanks to the numerous possible combinations, Carousel allows you to create your own unique, personal outdoor spaces and more.
