Catellani & Smith lights up the MUDEC Restaurant

-

Inaugurated in 2014 over the Ex Ansaldo area in Via Tortona, in the heart of one of the most lively design districts in Milan during the Design Week, the Museum of Cultures MUDEC hosts the restaurant overseen by the multi-Michelin-starred chef Enrico Bartolini.

In this exclusive space chef Bartolini’s gastronomic culture combines tradition and innovation in his Contemporary Classic cuisine, a trend which is reflected in the furniture and the lighting, represented by the choice of the light solutions by Catellani & Smith for the lighting project of the restaurant.

Everything is dominated by the different hues of white, intercut by the simplicity and linear design of the Light Stick collection’s lamps, which are able to create a harmonious balance between lights and shades, enhancing the pure and minimal design of the boiserie and walls.

The result is an intimate and cozy atmosphere, an exclusive place where guests can share the pleasure of staying together, experiencing a cuisine that opens new frontiers in taste but keeps an eye on the culinary tradition of Italy.
