Cersaie 2017, what will Città della Posa be like?

19 July 2017

Now in its sixth edition, once again this year the Città della Posa will be featured during Cersaie 2017 and will give way to the world of Italian and international laying techniques in Area 49 of the Bologna Fairgrounds.

The space will be made up of five work-in-progress areas where demonstrations of laying techniques and classical themes of the profession (Flatness, preparation of the support, development of the bathroom environment, coating of the substrate with adhesives, floating façade/coating) will be given. There will also be another area dedicated to the installation of large slabs

In this last area, each day Cersaie will hold a technical seminar on large slabs for designers. These workshops will include two classroom hours and two hours of practice in an installation laboratory, which will give participants four professional training credits.

In line with Cersaie’s international nature, the Città della Posa will also cross national borders and host various official and professional meetings including those with the EUF European Association of Installers and its counterpart, the NTCA American Association. Moreover, a seminar on insurance policies for installers and the Worksite Technician Assembly is scheduled.

Assoposa (National Association of installation companies and installers of ceramic tiling) will also hold a large area within Area 49. Through its Master Tile Layers, the association will directly carry out demonstrations on the installation of large and thin formats as well as internal and external coatings, which will be open and visible to all Cersaie visitors.

Finally, the Città della Posa will be enriched by an outstanding and large “sphere” covered with ceramic tiles, designed by the Architect Valentino Scaccabarozzi.

An appointment not to be missed.
