Salone del Mobile.Milano 2019 is going to be a particularly special edition for My Home Collection: this year the company is back to the Milan Design Week under the new art direction of Giulio Iacchetti with many new products e innovative ideas.
For example, music is the inspiration behind the new Vinnie coffee table designed by Alessandro Stabile: paying homage to the great talent of Vinnie Colaiuta, one of the most famous drummers in the history of contemporary music, this new coffee table reproduces the shape of the drum barrel, but is also created the way drums are made, using a continuous joint-free cylindrical plywood shell.
Vinnie consists of a round top, the inside of which is split in half – one part empty, one part full – with a higher and more accessible resting surface, and a deep and generously- sized container designed to store all the items that tend to gravitate around the sofa or bed, such as books, magazines and remote controls; moreover, the frame of the coffee table is made entirely out of ash wood, which is painted and available in any colour.
In conclusion, Vinnie is a versatile interior décor item which perfectly inhabits both the living room and bedroom, in tune with the contemporary taste.
