Fabbrica Italiana Contadina, the Italian Farming Factory. The name FICO says all: the biggest centre in the world to celebrate the excellence of Italian agri-food industry, strongly desired by Oscar Farinetti of Eataly and recently inaugurated in Bologna.
The huge project covers an area of 10 hectares and embodies “the wonders of Italian biodiversity”, with the aim of becoming a reference point to promote Made in Italy in the world through forty farming factories for food processing, as well as forty restaurants, small shops, a congress centre accommodating up to 1,000 people and even a theatre.
Scavolini, the leading company from Pesaro as well as the international reference point for the Made in Italy quality, the attention to details and the great freedom of composition of its solutions, will be present here with four classrooms to be furnished with its living and kitchen collections, thus giving shape to spaces dedicated to food and environmental education. These multi-purpose environments, suitable for any kind of event, will give people the chance of knowing the huge food and wine heritage of our country through cooking classes.
The lines chosen - perfectly working and ready to be used - are LiberaMente and the “Fluida” wall system, characterised by linear and clean design, high functionality and modularity. Their open modules and living elements will create open and convivial spaces, in a flow between the kitchen and the living room.
Fabiana Scavolini, CEO of the brand, said:
“We are proud of being part of such a complex and ambitious project, which in Bologna is the perfect candidate to pick up the baton from Expo. Scavolini Group has decided to joint this project and support its scientific and educational nature because we totally share its spirit and aims: promoting the culture of Italian quality and artisan know-how. That is why we have contributed with what we can do best, which represents concretely our historic heritage and our Made in Italy values. I would like to thank also Electrolux and Laminam, our partners in this project.”
