The rugs by Alessandra Baldereschi and NODUS inspired by Tiepolo

-

The designer Alessandra Baldereschi has decided to celebrate the great tradition of Italian art creating a collection of wool carpets inspired by the Venetians paintings of the 18th century in collaboration with NODUS.

In particular, the famous paintings “Gloria d’angeli” (“Glory of Angels”), by Gianbattista Tiepolo, and “Il commiato di Venere” (“Farewell of Venus”), by Sebastiano Ricci, have been digitally reworked and transformed into areas of color with many different shades to obtain an equally pictorial and veiled effect.

The two rugs are characterized by refined neutral tones and a delicate three-dimensionality given by the processing of wool on different levels, which accentuates the perspective of the painting.

A new point of view for two artworks originally intended for domes and vaults of famous architecture and a celebration of the Italian historical and artistic heritage, an inexhaustible source of inspiration and knowledge.
