Lumen Museum, a new space dedicated to mountain photography

-

Are you lovers of mountain and photography? The new Lumen Museum is the perfect place for you.

The museum, designed by the architect Gerhard Mahlknecht, has recently opened at the summit of the region Kronplatz in South Tyrol and consists of 1,800 sqm and four floors dedicated to mountain photography.

The project included the transformation of the former mountain station of the Kronplatz, located at 2,265 m in the heart of the Dolomites: it has become a modern, total white structure that offers exhibition spaces, an events room that holds up to 200 people and space for conferences, seminars, and workshops.

In addition, there are a permanent display of the work of Reinhold Messner and a Mirror Room that presents an immersive collection of image sequences from some of the most famous international mountain photographers; on the other hand, the Room of Miracles offers visitors a chance to view real and rare artifacts from the world of mountain photography,

Finally, you can eat at the AlpiNN restaurant and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Dolomites panorama.
