Zitelle House, living in a Canaletto painting

-

A pure Canaletto painting. This is the view from Zitelle House, the Venetian apartment recently renovated by Kanz Architetti in the island of Giudecca.

Located in a nineteenth-century building, the house is characterised by a large window that enhances the wonderful position of the complex with a spectacular overlook on the San Marco basin.

The view on the outside is the element that animates the project, so the large living area is designed to be turned entirely towards the water, to capture the reflections in the living area and to give a glimpse of the city to those who sit in the long dining table or kitchen counter.

In addition, the spaces are defined by clean lines and simple volumes, marked by the slight chromatic variations of the vertical and horizontal surfaces; finally, the diversified use of lighting fixturesdefines spaces and functions within the single living area.

An apartment where the landscape is the authentic protagonist.
