Better Dreaming, the dream beds of Twils

-

Better Dreaming is Twils’ new catalogue dedicated to the world of beds, which enhances the bed range with several new entries as well as some upgrades to the existing beds, with product durability and high quality materials always at the forefront of the design process.

Matteo Ragni, Twils’ Art Director, explains:

“For me Better Dreaming really is a place for dreams and visions. And coordinating a bed collection with a name like this inevitably makes me think of objects which enable anyone, anywhere, to dream better.”

Here a selection of beds from the catalogue.

Book

Book

Design by Matteo Ragni

Book’s large headboard is reminiscent of an open book, just waiting to be read. The headboard’s padding makes this bed perfect for those who love an evening read, providing comfort and the necessary support. It also features rectangular feet mounted on the sides of the bed frame, positioned to convey extreme formal cleanliness and visual lightness.

Carnaby

Carnaby

Design by Studio Balutto

The inspiration for this bed is the rounded and flowing shapes of Art Deco. The wooden feet are slim and light, the bedstead is upholstered, and the headboard has a gracefully rounded contour.

èS Heaven

èS. Heaven

Design by R&D Twils

A restyling of the èS model with the Heaven version, which lightens the structure and highlights the tailored features with the addition of an embossed edging on the seams. The feet are also completely new: clean-cut metal cylinders that mimic the headboard’s sinuous shape, thus enhancing the effect of visual lightness.

Opéra

Opéra

Design by Tiziano Carnieletto

A bed like a theatre stage, a place where dreams come to life. That’s how we envisaged Opéra, with its elegant, minimal headboard whose delicate stitching is reminiscent of the soft folds of a stage curtain. Its generous size allows the lateral folds to be positioned at different angles. When open, they’re linear and dramatic. When facing inwards, they envelop the bed in their embrace. The sheer size of the headboard is tempered by the overall lightness of the bed: the base appears to float, the feet are slender and the bedstead uncluttered.

Thomas

Thomas

Design by R&D Twils

The headboard on the Thomas Barré bed arches backwards slightly, adding to the impression of lightness and reclining the backrest just enough for you to lie back and relax. The parallel stitching is a contemporary take on a classic pattern, while the narrow bedstead emphasizes the minimalism of the style. The headboard soars from the base with a steadily increasing thickness.

Venus

Venus

Design by R&D Twils

The standout feature of Venus is the headboard: its frame with rounded edges surrounds the padding and creates a crisp, geometrical silhouette. Within this, the surface can be discreetly stitched, soft and undefined. Or button tufting can be added to give a more structured effect. The high bedstead offsets the dramatic headboard and ties everything together.
