Japanese elegance, Ritzwell furnishes a house in Kyoto

-

Designed by MITSUI Designtec Co. and styled by Kyoko Ono, the house in Kyoto’s Shimogamo district is conceived for relaxation and unfolds with large windows facing the Forest of Correction (Tadatsu no Mori).

The day area is organized in one single space, where the various functional areas converge into each other seamlessly and there are the traditional Japanese elements, such as the sliding bamboo doors which separate the lunch area from the living room if needed and the wooden flooring made according to the naguri technique to enhance its beauty by means of the material’s natural imperfections.

The interior of the house is completed by a selection of Ritzwell products: the MO dining table and four RIVAGE armchairs furnish the dining room, while the second multi-functional table – to write, work, have tea – is surrounded by RIVAGE lounge chairs in black leather combined with two MO BRIDGE stools; in addition, the living room, intended for conversation and TV watching, is set up with the DIANA sofa and JK side table with top in light-coloured wood.

As a result, the atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated, typically Japanese.
