Portofino – Nemo Lighting

PORTOFINO

Designed by Valerio Sommella, PORTOFINO is a slender, streamlined, and lightweight table lamp that is portable and rechargeable. It is a multi-use contemporary project born from a design process guided by the redefinition of product architecture, the redistribution of components, and their optimization in terms of volume and efficiency. Made from injection-molded polycarbonate, it also comes in a more domestic version with a marble base in various essences. Dim. 10 x 30,5 cm

Cabanon – Nemo Lighting

LAMPE CABANON

Previewed at Milan Design Week, Lampe Cabanon is a previously unpublished project designed by Le Corbusier. In 1952, on the shores of the French Riviera, Le Corbusier built Cabanon, the absolute archetype of essential living, executed according to the rules of the Modulor,  just a stone’s throw away from the sea. Lampe Cabanon, named after the inspired microcosm, represents a symbol of architecture and essential living. The lampshade, made from tracing paper that the architect used, was crafted from a wartime artifact – a mortar shell carrier – found on French beaches. The lamp, for which numerous sketches and designs exist, represents a moment of rebirth in the post-war world.
