Doors and technical solutions for interior architecture
Albed’s story begins in 1964 in the province of Monza e Brianza, starting from an aluminum profile. Since then the brand – whose name was officially born only a few decades later, in 1996 – has grown to the point that today, from the industrial centre in Nova Milanese, projects are completed in Tel Aviv, Singapore, Chicago, Casablanca, with the signatures of the most prestigious architectural firms including Zaha Hadid and Christophe Pillet, Atelier(s) Femia / AF517*, Vittorio Grassi and many others. Indeed from the simple aluminium profile the company has built and given rise to a wide system of largely customizable solutions, to solve nearly every need on site.
Classical hinged doors or flush to the walls, pocket doors, sliding doors, pivot, covered or in particular finishes, up to partition walls, walk-in closets and furnishing accessories: Albed’s world starts from the definition of a problem (such as the availability of space or the opening radius and any pre-existing structural obstacles) and then solves it with the right solution. The consideration in doing it includes several aspects: first of all the the utilized raw materials, which are all 100% recyclable and noble and the wood is FSC certified; then there’s no lack of attention to UNI norms and, increasingly, of the influences of international designers, such as Alfonso Femia / AF *Design, Karim Rashid, Fabrizio Cester, Simone Micheli and Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri, who have designed respectively the Entre-Deux system, the Blow and Ring doors, the Morbida collection, the Next Round door and the Line modular bookcase.
Finally the internal management of of the production cycle allows wide margins for customization, great flexibility and excellent service, from the first phases of the project to the after-sale.
