Dainelli Studio’s apartment in the heart of Milan

-

In Milan, located in one of the most elegant areas in the city, Dainelli Studio redesigned in a classic-contemporary key a 250sqm apartment located on the ground floor of a building built in the Eighties, surrounded by a garden.

The architects designed a spacious entrance hall, a large living room connected to the dining room, hallways and corridors with large wall wardrobes and four bedrooms.

The style mixes aristocratic details, such as the large wood panelling, mirrors and oak parquet, with contemporary elements, such as the resin floor in the kitchen, the tropical wallpaper and the architectural lighting; in addition, elegant custom elements combine with design icons, family heirlooms, marble sculptures, ceramic sculptures and paintings.

The entrance is characterised by furnishings designed by the designers: the bookcase boiserie, the black-stained ash wood cabinet and the brass partition separating the entrance from the living area; the furnishings include a black leather armchair by Vitra and two custom lamps with built-in brass light fittings and Dedar Tiger Mountain fabric, a jacquard velvet inspired by Tibet.

The living room features a Flexform fabric sofa, combined with Capitol armchairs by Cassina – in black-stained ash and moss green aniline leather – and completed by modern antique tables and Flos lamps.

Separated by a few steps but easily accessible from the living area, the dining room opens onto the large custom table with a black-stained ash base and White Beauty marble top; chairs, bar cabinet and lamp in glass and metal are all by Gallotti&Radice.

The kitchen is by Poliform and the bathroom by Boffi, with iconic furnishings by Kartell and Vitra.

In the bedrooms, the bedside tables in gunmetal and Georgette marble and the bed with a quilted headboard, both by Conte, interface with the custom-designed piece of furniture in black-stained ash, the console table by Gallotti&Radice and the wallpaper by Taplab.

Accessible from both the living area and the bedrooms, the garden is finally furnished by Kettal, with a Cattelan Italia dining table.

The result is a very classy house, based on the best Italian design.
