Casa IM, fluid and contemporary spaces for an apartment in Padua

-

In the heart of Padua, architect Gianluca Salvemini (Studio EN-A) signed the renovation of Casa IM, a medium-sized apartment (135 mq) located in a building of the 70s.

The apartment enjoys two opposite views, one to the east and the other to the west:  this geographical condition allows us to benefit from an intense natural light, which amplifies the views between the compressed spaces, service, and those of living, which dialogue with the outside.

The original division of the environments was rigid, with a generous entrance, dark and cold; now, the domestic space is more dynamic and contemporary: the crossing of the various environments takes place in a more fluid way, where the thresholds between one environment and another also become spaces; the new airiness of the living area meets the intimacy of the sleeping area.

Finally, the use of soft tones, for the colors of some walls and ceilings, accompanied by the softness of wood, chosen as the protagonist of the living area, contributes to create the typical atmosphere of warmth and intimacy at home.
