Icons of Architecture, Matrix4Design launches the new theme for the 2023 Special Photography Prize

-

Starting from Tuesday 1st March you can register to take part in the new edition of the international photographic contest URBAN Photo Awards, which will culminate at the end of October in Trieste Photo Days, the annual festival of Trieste.

Matrix4Design will be present in 2023 too with its Special Prize dedicated to architecture photography, which changes its reference theme this year. After three editions dedicated to urban architecture of the new millennium, the Prize promoted by Matrix4Design evolves: no longer the New Buildings but the Icons of Architecture, that is, the iconic buildings that have contributed to writing the history of architecture, become the subjects of the shots in the competition.

The proposed photographs for the Icons of Architecture Prize will show buildings created by the great names in international architecture, capturing their identity from a novel point of view and providing an original interpretation. They may portray the building in its entirety or a detail of it, as long as this is representative of the iconic specificity of the project.

To participate simply tag Icons of Architecture (Matrix4Design award) Single Photos in the SPACES category. Andrea Boni, Matrix4Design editor, will evaluate the competing photos and draw up the shortlist and the winner. Here you can find the regulation.

He/she will take part in the collective exhibition of 2023 Trieste Photo Days winners and will be interviewed exclusively by Matrix4Design. You will find more details here.
