On the occasion of 2019 Design Miami/Basel, which took place in Basel from 11 to 16 June, Italian brand Abet Laminati has worked together with London designer Adam Nathaniel Furman to create The Three characters in the Second Act: The Royal Family, a three-piece collection designed for Camp Design Gallery.
The project includes two large cabinets, called Benevolente and Solidale, and a chair, named Gioioso: in fact, each of the pieces have been given intentionally “clumsy” names of seldom-used Italian words to match their unusual shapes and designs.
In addition, each furniture object has been decorated with vivid colours and bold, intricate patterns using digitally printed laminate produced by decorative laminate manufacturer Abet Laminati.
According to the designer, The Three characters in the Second Act is a sort of “childhood dream”, freely inspired by the work Abet Laminati did with famous designers like Alessandro Mendini and Ettore Sottsass.
