Ethimo, Paola Navone’s Rafael collection becomes a dining set
Thanks to the creativity of Paola Navone and the design experience of Ethimo, in 2021 the lounge line Rafael becomes a dining set, with tables in different sizes and small armchairs featuring the same exotic appeal and sensation of wellbeing as the larger collection.
Preciously tactile materials, fascinating looking table tops and details devised to make Rafael tables and chairs unique team to craft a new experience of contact with nature and a new “mode” of al fresco dining.
Statue marble and enamelled lava stone in an intense brilliant colour that emphasises the material and recalls the varying hues of the sea, become irregular patterns for the table tops; in addition, the stone and marble are finely worked to give them extraordinary asymmetry and geometry.
Available in two sizes (264 x 155 cm or 160 x 160 cm), the tables feature the same structural strength and warmth of the lounge elements in brushed or pickled teak, and the fabulous effects created by the combination of noble materials like wood and stone will reach out to distinguish any setting they furnish.
Rafael dining table is also available in a third version entirely in teak, again brushed or pickled with a round top measuring 230 cm in diameter: this version can be additionally enhanced with a strongly characteristic, highly functional element: the Lazy Susan, a 110-cm diameter revolving part in statue marble.
The perfect balance of comfort and design, Rafael tables have matching little armchairs: ergonomic and comfortable, they team a structure in teak with a surprising weave of Light Grey Round Rope on the seat, embracing the unmistakable eclectic feel that runs through the entire collection; the structure’s Grey plastic supports are an elegant decorative yet functional “quirk”.
The Rafael dining collection is thus an “homage” to the contemporary outdoor table, lending personalised uniqueness and creative flair to residential settings and enhancing the most exclusive contract spaces, in an original, refined interpretation of conviviality.
