Four designers for four handles: Olivari’s journey

-

In this period of lockdown, Olivari decides to celebrate the new season and presents four new handles, giving us an imaginary journey, starting from the beautiful Milan to get to the small and precious city of Lugano.

A journey made possible thanks to four renowned names of architecture and international design – Antonio Citterio, Carlo Colombo, Max Pajetta, Luca Casini, who have designed four new handles with evocative names.

Milan”, designed by Antonio Citterio, is a timeless and evergreen handle, an object with a solid and classic physicality, like the “Milanese living room”, a cosmopolitan city, a place rich in culture and history, tradition and innovation.

Milan is a “Diva” of yesteryear, like the handle designed by Luca Casini: a simple but elegant object, with a full-bodied and comfortable grip; its surfaces are generated by two opposite convex curves that move from the rosette to the terminal end of the body according to a curve that gradually softens, a harmonious, fickle and sophisticated figure that moves sinuously swaying in a sumptuous train.

We leave the city of Milan and fly to our distant destination: the handle “Vola”, designed by Max Pajetta, was born after many and many prototypes, all in search of an aesthetic balance that included productive and ergonomic needs.

Our journey ends in the intimate Swiss town of “Lugano”, where the handle by Carlo Colombo was born as a “custom- made” model. It has been designed ad hoc and it’s characterized by an elegant and delicate appearance, extremely versatile given the wide range of finishes proposed by Olivari company.
