Rada, Fushimi Lounge and Nota, the new collections designed by Philippe Tabet for Pianca

-

A brand new collaboration between the French designer Philippe Tabet and Pianca starts in 2021: after the Fushimi, Esse, Orchestra collections and the Inari table, the Rada bed, Fushimi Lounge armchair and Nota casegoods for the night zone are the result of this new collaboration.

Simple, soft lines, enriched by a range of elegant finishes, define surfaces inspired by the waves on the sea or Japanese pictograms, with textural contrasts and a distinctive look designed to be inviting.

Rada is a bed with a flowing, intimate and delicate profile and is characterised by curves flowing seamlessly into metal feet, in a supremely delicate contrast; a metal frame combines with an aluminium alloy base, with a metallic or matt finish, in black and white, while the headboard, made of polyurethane foam, with a fixed fabric or leather cover, curves backwards gently inviting total relaxation, yielding to its form.

A reinterpretation of the Fushimi bed, the Fushimi Lounge armchair builds on the dominating features of its own inspiration, starting with how the luxurious solid wood is machined and finished: it has a wooden structure that is both concealed and exposed in symbiosis with the main leather section whose meticulous craftsmanship is utterly inviting; available in Canaletto solid wood or ash in the Rovere Naturale, Borgogna, Canaletto and Nero shades, natural hard leather in the Hermes, Moro and Nero colours.

Nota is finally a collection of casegoods for the bedroom which inhabits the overlap between opposing natures, with distinctively crafted contours and a combination of wood and glass: the top extends over the structure, which curves gently outwards on both sides to support it, like a tray that appears to float, while a stylish and functional open shelf detaches from the top of the drawers below; the Nota casegoods are created in plywood, with a Piombo trasparent glass top and the side panels are available in Larice Carbone, Larice Ambra, Borgogna and Canaletto wood, drawers in matt and gloss lacquered finish, in the colours of the collection.

The result is a timeless design proposal, based on elegance and minimalism, on display at the Pianca & Partners showroom in Milan and at the new Green Pea Retail Park in Turin.
