It is called Venexia and is a tribute to the functional elegance of furnishings typical of city living in the late nineteenth century: it is the new lounge collection designed by Luca Nichetto in collaboration with Ethimo to improve the quality of outdoor spaces, guaranteeing a new al fresco feel-good experience.
Visually reminiscent of old-fashioned railings but also characterised by the aesthetic and functional aspects for contemporary residential or contract use, the structure of the furniture is made of a refined harmonious series of very thin aluminium slats, shaped with ad hoc moulds to ensure uniformity.
The ornate result is a collection featuring big proportions, light to the eye yet conveying a feeling of solidity and robustness.
Venexia comprises lounge armchairs, a two-seater sofa, and a chaise longue that can either be used on their own or arranged together to create a large sofa or daybed; it also includes occasional tables with lava-stone or enamelled terracotta tops, available in two sizes: 90 cm in diameter and 42.5 cm high, or with a diameter of 60 cm and a height of 48 cm.
The modularity of the elements makes it possible to create pleasing compositions to furnish a wide variety of outdoor settings with a delicate sense of harmony for socialising in comfort.
The padding in the big, soft cushions is made from recycled materials and completely waterproof, and they are upholstered in exceptionally soft, 100% outdoor fabric, with a special texture.
Available in dark grey, the structure of Venexia is treated with a powder coating to guarantee it lasts longer, its beauty unaltered, when used outside.
A new design concept in this way blazes a trail in contemporary outdoor furnishings, reworking the traditional definition of aluminium furniture and, inspired by the past, offering an ergonomic, complete, versatile system with big personality that turns design into pure comfort and practicality.
