Zanotta, the new Maggiolina covered in fabric

-

Historic chaise longue designed in 1947 by the great Milanese designer Marco Zanuso, today the iconic Maggiolina, in production by Zanotta since 1972, has been proposed in a new version with upholstered elements covered in fabric.

Born to abandon the traditional concept of the artisan armchair and introduce a new constructive system designed for industrial serial production, the armchair Maggiolina looks even more contemporary because of the material contrast between the fabric of the cushions, the cowhide of the armrests and the body and the metal of the structure.

Maggiolina’s design is based on the functional breaking down of elements: an elegant tubular stainless-steel structure (18/8 polished or black painted steel or with natural or black nickel-satin finish); a semi-rigid shell in cowhide pigmentato 90 and two soft cushions with goose down padding for the back and in polyurethane / Dacron Du Pont for the seat.

Maggiolina proves itself to be among the bestselling products icon of the brand, a symbol of Italian “good design”, a functional and sustainable product, designed to last over time.
