MIDE Architetti designs the new Public Library in Veggiano

In Veggiano, a small village located in the province of Padua, MIDE Architetti studio designed the new public library in an area of 5.400 m2: it occupies only 300 m2, while leaves the remaining surface to a public park.

Being parallel to the main road, the building welcomes the town and serves as an identifying object for the community.

The construction, surrounded by green, faces and evokes the rural environment, characterized by farm buildings with pitched roofs and arcades.

Finally, the new library look at the future: it is a nearly-zero energy building (NZEB), characterized by a wooden structure that provides a welcoming and warm atmosphere.
