Raro Cremeria Artigianale, ZDA designs a vintage ice-cream parlour in Cremona

-

Inspired by the ice-cream parlours of yesteryear, where the flavours were stored in the well, the cream was hand-whipped and the smell of vanilla was in the air, the new spaces of Raro Cremeria Artigianale have been designed by ZDA – Zupelli Design Architettura in Cremona, Italy.

The architects have focused on a retro-contemporary atmosphere, enhanced by the lively, minimal style that characterizes this modern ice-cream parlour and confectionery, whose original, sustainable identity evoke the sincere places of the past.

The elegant corner bar dominates the room, where the colour theme somewhere between teal and Prussian blue is counterpointed by the golden finishes, also chosen for the seating, lighting, bathroom furniture and design details.

Lighter tones, a vintage feel in stylistic coherence and the ‘terrazzo’ texture of the floor give movement and depth to the room, further underlining the intention of the intervention, where traces of yesterday tell new adventures of today.
