This year Flos, the Italian manufacturer of designer lighting, will take part in Designers’ Saturday, the largest and most important meeting place for design and interior architecture in Norway, taking place on the second weekend of September.
In its beautiful showroom located at the Studio Skøi complex, Oslo, Flos will present the new iconic Decorative, Architectural and Outdoor collections as previewed at Milan’s Euroluce fair earlier this year. The monumental staircase that occupies the central space of the wide showroom will serve as a stage to highlight Bilboquet, a sustainable, adjustable table lamp with a playful spirit, in its original finishes: sage, tomato and linen.
Its creator, the British-Canadian designer Philippe Malouin, will be a focus of this year edition with a dedicated Design Conversation, hosted in the Flos Showroom Friday 8th September at 3.30 pm and moderated by Flos’ Chief Marketing Officer Barbara Corti.
In addition, the visitors will be able to admire some of the most iconic products by Flos: a scenographic 2097/75 chandelier by Gino Sarfatti, in the new version featuring 75 bulbs and a matte white finishing; a series of refined and sophisticated Céramique table lamps, designed by Ronan Bouroullec, also showcased along the stairway; moreover, other brand new designs include Black Flag by Konstantin Grcic, My Circuit by Michael Anastassiades, Skynest Motion by Marcel Wanders and finally Taccia, one of Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni’s most recognized masterpieces, which is now launched in a Special Edition with a splendid total white finish.
The style of light is on stage in Oslo. Don’t miss it.
